Health and Fitness Coaching

Health and Fitness Coaching

Whether your goal is to get stronger and build muscle, burn fat and get lean, or correct imbalances and move around with less or no aches and pains, I've got you covered. I am passionate about physical education and I love to help people achieve their fitness goals.

Learn how to train safely and effectively.

  • Injury Prevention - Let's face it, if your training is beating you down instead of building you up, then something is wrong. One of the main reasons for training is to decrease the probability of injury - getting hurt while training completely defeats this purpose. Training smart will greatly decrease your odds of hurting yourself.

  • Resistance Training - Barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, cable machines, your own body, a bucket full of water, a bag full of sand - it doesn't matter! I have the education and the experience to help you develop a solid resistance training program using whatever is available to you.

  • Corrective Exercise - Poor posture? Neck and/or back pain? Shoulder pain? Knee pain? Age related muscle wasting and/or immobility? Several years of experience as both a personal trainer and a physical therapist assistant have given me much insight on these topics and how to improve your situation. Disclaimer - if you are actually injured (broken arm, torn ACL, etc.), then I highly recommend you see a doctor and a physical therapist as I cannot treat pathologies or injuries via online coaching.

Learn how to eat healthy for physical and mental well-being.

  • Calories - Simply put, it's all a matter of calories in vs calories out. If you're in a caloric deficit, you will lose weight. If you're at maintenance, you'll stay the same. If you're in a surplus, you'll gain weight.

  • Macronutrients - Proteins, carbohydrates, and fats. They are all important and everyone needs to consume adequate amounts of each.

  • Micronutrients - Vitamins A, D, E, K, etc. Magnesium, zinc, calcium, potassium, etc. Different foods contain different vitamins and minerals. Each vitamin and mineral is essential for optimal functioning of the body.

  • Methods - 3 square meals a day, intermittent fasting, etc. It's really a matter of personal preference and what works best for you.
